ABOUT THE NORTH SHORE JAZZ PROJECT

In our first year, we have had four fundraisers at Chianti, bringing top quality talent to the community and have reasied money for the NSJP as well as raising money for Haiti after the earthquake. Combined with corporate grants and contributions, we have sponsored educational programs, bringing the Berklee Outreach Band to local high schools. See videos >>

Our Mission
In an initiative to revive the North Shore of Boston as a jazz oasis, recalling the days when world class artists performed at Sandy's Jazz Revival in Beverly, the North Shore Jazz Project plans to infuse the region with music.

Sandy’s and Lenny’s provided musical, educational and cultural enrichment to an under-served population outside Boston and they provided something special for the players, an intimate setting in which to play their music. The North Shore Jazz Project has begun to produce concerts for the community, finding the hunger for live music in the area demonstrated by SRO audiences. In addition, the NSJP is to offer important educational programs to North Shore High Schools.

Our long term goal is to produce an hour long television series on the North Shore.
